Roxburgh / Contact Energy

Roxburgh Hydo Dam Crane Upgrade Enabling Works

Contact Energy contracted us to upgrade their gantry crane system’s power supply before new generator runners could be installed. This included installing a changeover switch, lockable isolator, heavy-duty 400V cabling, and comprehensive cable support systems. We also managed testing and commissioning IPV schedules. Thanks to meticulous planning and collaboration with Contact Energy’s engineering team, we completed the upgrade ahead of schedule and under budget.

Murchison / Pioneer Energy

Murchison Hydro Power Station Construction

Pioneer Energy engaged us to fitout multiple prefabricated buildings for installation in the rural Matiri valley. Works included PLC panels, alarm systems, remote monitoring and communications, local service 400 volt and 110 volt distribution, 24 volt DC duplexed essential bus power supplies, instrumentation cabling and commissioning, transformer and generator protection relays and general space lighting & heating.

Drawing from our experience in the hydro power station sector, we were pleased to leverage our expertise to support Pioneer Energy’s business venture. We completed all the prep work locally, to make sure the rural installation was as timely and cost-effective as possible for our client.

Ida Valley / Ida Valley Irrigation Company

Off-Grid Irrigation Control System

Ida Valley Irrigation Company engaged us to scope, design, and deliver a stand-alone monitoring and control system for a water storage dam valve actuator at the head of a major rural irrigation scheme. Challenges included lack of mains power and communications, exposure to extreme weather, and site access.

Collaborating with Becca Engineering, Mt Aurum Engineering Consultants, and Rotork New Zealand, we provided a robust system for global remote control. Safety was a key component of the project scope, so we installed quality products and engineered dual systems for redundancy, to minimise service interruptions and eliminate the need for on-site visits during severe weather.

At Conductive Solutions, we engineer safety systems from the ground up to eliminate risks to people, plant, and equipment and meet our due diligence standards and ‘reasonably practicable’ duties under Health and Safety at Work 2015.

We work closely with a health and safety consultant to make sure we’re compliant with all safety standards and regulations as we navigate an evolving environment of safe working practices. Whether your job is working under the Wiring Rules or Electricity Act, we will work hard to make sure your project is done safely and up to code.
